It's easier to paint with oils than you think! This 3-Hour Painting Workshop will introduce the basics of oil painting, from composition to color theory in a fun and relaxed setting.  I'll also demystify the materials and equipment needed for success. You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish in three stress-free hours!

Draw? Yes you can! Students start with simple shapes as they define value, form and negative space in charcoal, conté and graphite. A progression to color explores the surprising and varied characteristics and techniques of colored pencil. Drawing drapery will be included. Advanced students may work from class still life or subject of their own choosing.

I'll shed light on the basics of painting the still life. With focus on color theory, values, edges, materials and paint application, students will soon be on their way to exciting and luminous compositions. Materials will be included for your initial class. We'll go over the materials list for future classes and beyond.

Ages 10 and up. Learn the fundamentals of drawing in a positive and fun atmosphere. The class sheds light on the mysteries of drawing by teaching the basic concepts that are the heart of the art of drawing. Students will learn the basics for drawing objects, be introduced to the foundations of perspective, form and shading plus numerous other techniques to enhance creativity. The Art of Drawing course goes beyond basic skills to increase confidence.

We'll compose, create, compile and critique for a professional presentation of your 2-D work.
